Top 3 Places in Europe to Visit
My husband and I have lived in Germany for almost an entire year now and man, is Europe astronomically different than the United States! We have been traveling all over Europe in our free time and here are 3 cities that we LOVE.
Maybe it’s because we were homesick at the time and missed people speaking English, but wow was this city just full of life. Dublin was teeming with live music, historical pubs and buildings, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had, and the people were so friendly. We also took a bus tour from Dublin to the Cliffs of Moher (across Ireland to the west coast) and got to see the rolling green hills of the countryside and other sights along the way. The cliffs literally took my breath away, then we were back in Dublin by nightfall to partake in the nightlife.
Calling all wine lovers & foodies, bring your stretchy pants because you're sure to gain a few pounds in this european gem! Barcelona is a magical ancient place dripping with culture (and sweat because I visited in August). The Paella is delicious and unmatched anywhere else, you can take a tour bus out to wine country, walk to the beach, see Gaudi or Picasso's art in person, and drink sangria during the day without judgment (because why not?). The nightlife is fantastic, there's ton of places to shop, and overall plenty to do in this ancient city.
This might be an eye-roller for some people, but Paris is one of those cities that you MUST SEE in your lifetime. Rob proposed to me at the top of the Eiffel Tower (so yea maybe I'm biased), but it’ll always be a special place. The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, dinner cruises, art museums, night cafes and stunning architecture are like nothing else. Not to mention I can stuff my face with real macaroons and drink wine in front of the Eiffel Tower. Rob and I also went into the L’Orangerie Museum and saw Monet’s huge panoramic paintings of his water lilies. I’m a huge art nerd, so I needed to sit down for a hot minute and take it all in because it was THAT beautiful.
